Sr. Scientist, Analytical Chemistry (LC-MS, AAV, RNA)

Regeneron's Analytical Chemistry Group (ACG) is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Scientist to support Regeneron's Genetic Medicine program. We work on analytical development and characterization of a strong and diversified novel biotherapeutic drug candidates including protein therapeutics, gene/cell therapy modalities to support early-stage drug discoveries to late-stage regulatory submissions.

A Day As a Sr. Scientist Might Look Like:

• Provide LC/MS characterization of diversified biotherapeutic modalities, protein therapeutics (e.g. mAbs, bispecifics, fusion proteins, ADCs), oligonucleotides (e.g. sgRNA/ siRNA/ mRNA) and other biologics to supporting regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Regeneron Genetics Medicine (RGM) to develop analytical strategies and methods to elucidate and evaluate quality attributes, risk assessment and control strategies, including PTMs, product and process related impurities, sequence variants, etc. to address emerging challenges for novel gene/ cell-therapy modalities.
• Provide technical and regulatory support for cross-functional CMC teams, including formulation development, upstream & downstream process development, manufacturing and help to address development challenges in process development and manufacturing.
• Find opportunities in the areas of improvement and/or new technology development in drug development-related analytics for implementation.
• Actively participate and lead internal and external meetings, discussions, etc. Prepare and review development reports, memos, and regulatory submission documents in CMC and peer-reviewed articles for publications.

• You possess an understanding of analytical chemistry, have strong organization and scientific skills to develop innovative mass spectrometry-related technologies and collaborate within a matrix environment to influence cross-functional teams.
• Have knowledge in both upstream & downstream process development.
• Yu have excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

In order to be considered, you must have a PhD degree with 0-5 years’ or a BS/MS degree with 8+ years’ relevant industrial experiences in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field. Expertise in mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and sample preparation for biotherapeutics characterization, especially in protein therapeutics, RNA, AAV and other modalities.
