Moderna is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer who will be responsible for working with him/her to deliver analytical solutions to support Modernas CMC finance organization. As a Moderna analytics engineer, you will work directly with end users to understand requirements and then work with your team to design, develop, and deploy custom solutions.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Build and support implementation of Sales, Finance and Supply chain dashboards to answer key business questions

  • Working together with the business stakeholders, gather requirements and design, develop, test, document, and support mission-related Deliver Analytics Solutions

  • Create and maintain data models in Data warehouse (AWS Redshift) for Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting to enable self-service analytics in Tableau

  • Develop and Support Analytics projects which may integrate data and functionality from SAP and non-SAP application systems

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to define/implement target metrics

  • Collaborate with other team members to understand, transform, and implement the business requirements into flexible Business Processes using SAP standard functionality and custom extensions which are aligned with the mission and are in compliance with the organization's architectural standards

  • Understand business needs and lead thoughtful design discussions around meeting those business needs in a standard manner, fully leveraging SAP product capabilities

  • Work with other technical SMEs to develop long-term strategy for sustainable and flexible analytics architecture in Tableau

  • Coordinate closely with business and Digital analytics leaders to uncover, understand, and capture upcoming demand, detail out dashboard requirements and anticipate/mitigate potential roadblocks

  • Ensure adoption of best-in-class practices and standards for development, support, quality control and documentation

  • Drive timely and proactive issue identification, escalation & resolution

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, science, mathematics, and/or accounting

  • Experience working in Life Sciences, pharma/biotech, or related field

  • 6+ years of experience developing and delivering top-notch data visualization solutions using BI & analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, Dataiku etc.

  • Experience mapping complex processes, understanding data flows and writing detailed functional requirements to support the development of trends/metrics

  • Knowledge of Sales, Supply chain and Finance data models

  • Solid planning and organizational skills, including the ability to engage with multiple development projects concurrently and working to tight deadline

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively within a team of cross functional stakeholders to influence decisions at every level of the organization

  • Self-directed with effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to drive results on multiple complex assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
