Assistant Manager of Quality

Job Description

• Ensure center is "inspection ready" in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with Quality principles. Comply with federal, state and local regulations. Notify Senior Management of any event that negatively impacts Quality.
• Manage onsite Quality Control program including calibrations, sampling, competency checks, KPIs, root cause failure and change management.
• Lead investigations into deviations to determine root cause and implement correction/preventative actions and effectiveness checks.
• Develop direct reports, motivate staff, recruit, hire, conduct performance reviews and oversee corrective actions and terminations
• Observe staff adherence to GMP standards and lead Quality compliance and recommend actions to resolve audit non-compliance ie audits/CAPA’s
• Comply with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) including federal/state/local  policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and professional work experience required

Experience

• Minimum 1 year supervisory, leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of others, OR,
• 1year Quality experience (CSA/CSAb) required OR,
• Completion of CSL Plasma Leadership Development program

Additional Comments

• Maintain company Technical Training certification
• Proficient in English
• Overnight travel required up to 10% of the time

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and to blood borne pathogens
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sudden temperature changes working with freezers and various odors
