We seek a dedicated Staff Engineer to join the Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development group (PMPD). You will lead the group responsible for developing the membrane steps in the purification train of late-stage manufacturing process. The Purification Development (PD) group in PMPD is responsible for developing GMP-ready, phase-appropriate manufacturing processes for all protein-based therapeutics in Regeneron's growing pipeline. We hope you are excited by the opportunity to lead the development of membrane steps in our commercially enabling manufacturing processes leveraging Quality by Design approaches.

As a Process Development Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Acting as an established authority in membrane-based separation techniques who demonstrates scientific savvy across Regeneron, proactively identifies improvement opportunities, and determines corresponding strategies for improvements.
  • Leading technology development activities, getting results, and onboarding new technologies.
  • Mentoring directly or indirectly by leading, guiding, and assisting peers, direct reports, and other PMPD personnel.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving lab operations and data or knowledge management systems within the area of expertise.
  • Anticipating customer needs at an organizational level and proactively shaping internal workflows to meet them.
  • Working with supervisors to prepare and deliver an effective oral presentation in internal and external professional meetings to share multi-functional skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with internal and external collaborators, regularly interacting with PMPD Senior Leadership.
  • Contributing to lab equipment maintenance and safety to help create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.
  • Communicating relevant information to PMPD Senior Staff as a departmental program team representative.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have at least a Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of industrial experience, a Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience. Must have experience in protein purification in an industry setting. Experience with statistical design of experiments and quality by design is a plus. Demonstrating innovative thinking by developing ideas, tools, or techniques to solve problems or improve established procedures is a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$114,900.00 - $187,500.00
