Specialist- Process Industrialization& Tech Transfer

Regeneron is currently looking for a Drug Product (DP) Specialist to join our Process Sciences Drug Product Engineering team.  The DP Specialist provides support for the design and development of drug product processes. The individual will design and refine the drug product process from freeze/thaw through filling and inspection and will be part of a team responsible for industrialization, troubleshooting, and support validation of drug product processes at manufacturing sites, both international and domestic. 

           

As a DP Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute drug product process development and technology transfer activities.  Provide expertise to cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement scale-up strategies for drug product unit operations with a focus on process characterization, identification of critical process parameters and process optimization.
• Engage in predictive modeling of relevant processes as needed, engaging external expertise as appropriate.
• Write and review product industrialization protocols and reports to support technology transfer and process validation.
• Support primary component selection and design.
• Support product life-cycle initiatives.

• Support process investigations and assist with product impact assessment for change controls and internal/external investigations.
• May perform at-scale hands-on experiments and in-process testing to support process development and product industrialization. 
• Continuously drive to improve processes for improved performance.

• Up to 20% Travel may be required.

To be considered for Drug Product Specialist you must have a BS in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field. For various levels you must have the following:

Associate DP Specialist: BS in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field

DP Specialist: BS in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field and 2+ years of experience

Sr. DP Specialist: BS in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field and 5+ years of experience

A background in laboratory science or pharmaceutical fill/finish (drug product) operations is preferred. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
