GRAIL is looking for a back-end software developer confident in Java, Go or Python to join our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) team.

The GRAIL LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is an internally developed platform that functions as a system of record for laboratory operations and manages complex lab workflows for our commercial products and core studies.

As a Senior Software Engineer for the LIMS platform team, you have the opportunity to use and grow your technical skills and play an important role in changing history by lessening cancer mortality rates.
What You'll Do:

• Work within a team of engineers to add new, performant features to the LIMS platform. 
• Take ownership of the features you build and be a valuable team player
• Collaborate and lead technical discussions within the team
• Support the operations teams that use the system you build through on-call rotations
• Interact with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver for our customers

Who You Are:

• A love of programming, curiosity, and drive to constantly improve and learn new things
• A commitment and passion for technical excellence and quality
• 4+ years of relevant work experience building scalable, production-ready solutions
• Experience developing backend software: Java, Go or Python

The expected, full-time, annual salary for this role in California, Washington, or New York is $155,000 - 186,000.

Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, location, and overall performance throughout our interview process.

In addition to base pay our incentive compensation plan is performing quite well relative to the current market.

Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
