POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Work in partnership with the CM&S leadership team to manage, change, facilitate, and drive performance and organization development.
  • Establish and manage CM&S performance management process and ensure effectiveness of the budget process, financial tracking and KPI performance monitoring.
  • Align with sites on strategy for improvement initiatives including DD&T, EHS, and AGILE initiatives, and support prioritization and implementation
  • Lead strategic projects and initiatives in CM&S working across the matrix organization including global and site functions within VBU and GMS, GQ.
  • Maintains cross-functional relationships across the VBU and GMS network to ensure business operations are performed in alignment with VBU/Takeda vision and goals.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Align with CM&S Functions and Sites to develop and manage KPIs. Ensure alignment and integration with Takeda-wide KPIs, including Digital, EHS, Diversity, etc
  • Establish and manage the CM&S LT meeting process and ensure representation and integration with other governance forums in VBU and as needed, in GMS.
  • Lead the CM&S performance management process and facilitate the tier meeting process at the Sites and at above site level.
  • Identify key performance improvement initiatives, including those under the AGILE framework. Support Function and Site prioritization and implementation.
  • Coordinate planning for the annual business cycle (LRP, Budget, Resourcing, etc.), and provide liaison between CM&S and Finance, and other partner functions as needed
  • Provide input and coordinate strategy setting across CM&S; support governance and approval processes (e.g., MSC) as needed; Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities
  • Lead a variety of strategic projects and initiatives working across the matrix organization including global and site functions within VBU and GMS, GQ
  • Hold routine meetings with plant leads and functional leads to monitor and gauge health of processes, while assisting to resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Build community and provide support to Site Business Excellence leads; ensure alignment of approach and best practices for Training and PMO activities
  • Maintain a strong network with key stakeholders in VBU and GMS, ensuring alignment with global systems, processes and best practices.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • B.S. degree in Technical Discipline; higher qualifications preferred. 10-15 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading business critical initiatives within a matrix organization. Significant experience in managing cross-functional, global teams
  • Strong technical operations experience and understanding of diverse technologies, combined with strong business acumen
  • Experience in developing and/or evaluating projects/technologies/partnerships - considering technical and business relevant aspects
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skill; ability to work across senior leadership teams. Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization

Preferred:

  • MBA, or related business degree
  • Experience with project portfolio management
  • Experience with tech transfer partnership development

This position is currently classified as “hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.”

  • Base Salary Range: $163,000 to $229,000 based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off
