Job Description

How you will contribute:
  • You will play an essential role in developing novel cell therapy assays and analytical methods for developing cellular therapy products.

  • Independently plans and executes process and assay development, optimization, characterization, and qualification studies.

  • This role requires experience in high throughput screening using automated liquid handler systems.

  • This opening is an opportunity to be part of an excellent team focused on accelerating cancer cell therapy development using the latest technologies.

  • Provide broad assay development support for early-stage drug discovery projects in the field of Immuno-Oncology and Cell Therapy.

  • Design, execute and validate a variety of assays to understand mechanism of action and characterize different cell therapy products.

  • Spend ~ 85% of time in laboratory to maintain and implement cell-based assay platform and perform experimental assays.

  • Execute high throughput screening to project teams and commits resources to execute specific project tasks.

  • Works closely with senior team leaders and cross-functional teams to meet timelines for project progression.

  • Drafts technical documents, such as SOPs and study reports.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • MS with 0 - 1+ years of experience, or

  • BS with 2 - 3+ years of experience

  • Broad experience with the design, development, and implementation of in vitro and cell-based assays.

  • Experience with analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results.

  • Define strategies for new technology assessment and independently manage workload and expectations.

  • With hands-on experience setting up lab automation.

  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, and act as scientific resource for an aspect of a program.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong background and experience in immunology and/or immuno-oncology

  • Extensive experience with in vitro assay for cell therapy and molecular biology technologies is required

  • Hands-on experience with multi-color flow-based assay, and liquid handler is required

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems and determine causes and possible solutions

  • Teamwork - Ability to work well in a highly cross-functional team environment and across global line functions.

  • Communication Skills - Able to express oneself clearly and concisely within the team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues; adjust communication style as appropriate for the audience; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor; technical writing skills to support the authorship of internal technical documents

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require approximately 5-10% travel
