Join Takeda as an Engineer II Technology Development and Implementation where you will transform the development of biotherapeutics with purposeful technology. You will also contribute to platform development and implementation of new technologies in both upstream and downstream process development. As part of the Biotherapeutics Process Development (BPD), you will report to Sr Staff Engineer, Process Development.

How you will contribute:
  • Provide technical support, apply knowledge, and complete experiments toward platform development and new technology evaluation, development, and implementation.

  • Manage, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot high-throughput and bench-top cell culture and purification systems.

  • Document data in electronic laboratory notebooks following established company guidelines and procedures.

  • Draft technical reports, memos, procedures, technology transfer packages, and presentations.

  • Assist with external abstracts, presentations, and publications.

  • Contribute to team meetings, including sub-teams, project teams, and tech. transfer teams, and departmental meetings.

  • Apply basic knowledge from technical areas, industry standards, and practices, and provide quality and productive output that is reliable and reproducible.

  • May require approximately 5% travel.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0-2 years relevant industry experience.

  • Have working knowledge and experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.

  • Have experience designing experiments and the ability to analyze and interpret data collected.

  • Embrace and demonstrate teamwork.

  • Proactively learn new technologies.

  • Troubleshoot critical issues and resolve routine issues using appropriate information.

  • Knowledge of purification unit operation is a plus (AKTA, TFF, etc.)

  • Occasional weekend/holiday work is expected.

Base Salary Range: $ 54,600 to $78,000. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and Paid Volunteer Time Off.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
