About the role:

The Round Lake Warehouse Coordinator II performs scheduled activities for Shipping, Destruction, and Inventory Management in strict compliance with GMP, EHS, and Takeda Quality System.

How you will contribute:

  • Supports all local Manufacturing Plasma Operations.
  • Submit safety related beacons as necessary.
  • Update shipping and receiving metrics daily.
  • Receives physical and electronic plasma shipments. Ship and receive bulk albumin, raw materials, and finished goods.
  • Performs order status inquiries for all completed orders. Adjusts orders as necessary when damages or shortages occur.
  • Help with the Staging of Disposition plasma to be delivered to production.
  • Segregate questionable plasma units found in any area of the warehouse to be processed as “On Hold” or “Quarantine” status.
  • Fills and prepares inventory for transportation and monitors the progress throughout shift to assure efficient completion of duties.
  • Performs physical counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory verification.
  • Assist transportation function by directing carrier drivers on empty trailer dropping and load pick-up processes.
  • Completes bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment and bar code assignments for each order.
  • Complies with SOPs, GMPs, safety rules and regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Completes relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines and operate in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and MSDS.
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisor in obtaining maximum efficiency and productivity in warehouse operations.
  • Perform removal of hazardous waste.
  • Directs carrier drivers upon reporting. Assigns trailers scheduled to be unloaded or loaded at specific times through warehouse management systems.
  • Assists supervisor in resolving discrepancies between production and warehouse concerning inventory counts and other problems encountered.
  • Responsible for resolving any discrepancies between the shipper’s packing list and quantities received before being entered into the warehouse management system.
  • Prepares all documents and physical assignments necessary to perform efficiently and productively.
  • Notifies logistics departments of equipment shortages or other related issues.
  • Cross trains and assists with backup clerks when necessary.
  • Operate material handling equipment (such as forklifts and pallet-jack).
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams.
  • Perform daily cleaning of the production area to maintain in GMP fashion.
What you bring to Takeda:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems.
  • Must be able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of related work experience or AA degree or higher and 1+ years related experience.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be able to push/pull > 100 lbs. (with the assistance of material handling equipment).
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time over an 8 or 12-hour shift.
  • May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and/or squatting motions to perform certain tasks
  • Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.
  • Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body.
  • Will work in a cold environment
  • Must be able to work on multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional work hours or work extended hours, as needed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
