Join Takeda Pharm Sci as an Associate Director – Knowledge Management Lead where you will be accountable for organization-wide execution, stewardship, and improvement of the PharmSci Knowledge Management Framework and its business process landscape. You will ensure that employees are familiar with the knowledge management processes, including the purpose of doing so. As part of the Technology and Sustainability team, you will report to Head, PharmSci Knowledge Management. You will oversee and own a portfolio of centrally managed knowledge management processes, and will be responsible for evolving the knowledge management system against our organizational objectives and proven best practices.
How you will contribute:You will be accountable for organization-wide execution, stewardship, and improvement of the PharmSci Knowledge Management Framework and its business process landscape.
You will ensure that employees are familiar with the knowledge management processes, including the purpose of doing so.
You will validate that the right explicit and/or tacit knowledge goes to the right people, and that this information is promptly applied to business activities.
Helping capture new knowledge with the usage of a knowledge management system is fundamental to this position and monitoring progress by keeping track of engagement, value achievement, and other metrics.
Provide relevant analytics, coaching, training, and support to champion a knowledge management culture.
As our Knowledge Management Lead, you will support the Head, PharmSci Knowledge Management by contributing significantly to the development of a strategy and execution roadmap for holistic Knowledge Management
You will oversee and own a portfolio of centrally managed knowledge management processes, and is responsible for evolving the knowledge management system against our organizational objectives and proven best practices.
You will collaborate with the PharmSci Head of Knowledge Management, PharmSci Business Process Owners, and CMC Governance Leaders to improve our knowledge management framework and its principles.
Knowledge Management Lead would also be involved in additional activities that may include but are not limited to: supervising Subject Matter Communities of Practice; working across the organization to improve tools, reports, and databases; managing and communicating change across the network; developing knowledge maps; improving knowledge process templates, roll-out best practices and leverage existing technology and skill set to improve systems and subject matter intelligence; closely collaborate with Digital, Data & Technology Leader to maintain a comprehensive Knowledge Management Roadmap.
Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, biotechnological engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 10+ years relevant industry experience
Masters degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, biotechnological engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 7+ years relevant industry experience preferential
Significant experience in CMC pharmaceutical development and its related business and governance processes.
Sound knowledge of the Pharmaceutical value chain, the Pharmaceutical Product Lifecycle and its critical knowledge assets
Experience contributing to and/or leading global scientific and technical networks
Knowledge and Skills:
Teamwork: Ability to work well on global cross-functional team.
Communication Skills -Ability to expresses one's self clearly and concisely within team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely and comprehensively; adjusts communication style as appropriate for the audience timely and effectively communicates with senior management; technical writing skills to support authorship of internal/external and approval of internal technical documents
Knowledge Sharing: Ability to harvest and capture knowledge within the organization; improves solutions, processes, and deliverables through use of information; improves information capital by contributing experience, theories, deliverables, and models for others to use
Organization: Exercises good time management and prioritization skills to balance a number of project and departmental objectives
Technical: Recognized specialist in a CMC-relevant scientific or technical area such as process-, analytical- or drug product development. Advanced experience in designing, maintaining or leveraging information- and knowledge management tools.
Leadership Skills: Develops and uses knowledge and interpersonal skills to appropriately influence and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives

This position is currently classified as "hybrid" in accordance with Takeda's Hybrid and Remote Work policy.
Base Salary Range: $143,500.00 to $205,000.00, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
