Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as our US Region, GREFP -Strategic Initiatives Lead . The US GREFP team is evolving towards a professional services where we position ourselves as true strategic advisors and thought partners for the wider business, leveraging our expertise across Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement. To achieve this requires a US GREFP strategy and a clear roadmap that clearly outlines how we will deliver the required transformation over the course of the next few years.

  • The Strategic Initiatives Lead role is a critical role, to contribute to the development of the strategic agenda, own the transformation roadmap, coordinate the execution of key strategic initiatives, and support the leadership team to both execute business as usual and embed optimized ways of working.
  • The Strategic Initiatives Lead role is accountable and responsible for the management and oversight of the strategic initiatives portfolio for the US Region GREFP team, which will require partnering with stakeholders across the business, including the Direct, Indirect and R&D Procurement teams, the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE), the Facilities and Real Estate COE, Takeda Business Services, Legal, relevant corporate function leaders, and the rest of GREFP.
  • This role will include providing expertise and focus on data and digital, establishing partnerships to leverage the ecosystem, leading cross-functional strategic projects, managing various priorities through a portfolio management approach, and monitoring and reporting on relevant KPIs to measure progress.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Cultivate relationships with the heads of strategy, transformation, and related sub-functions within key stakeholder groups, including Digital+IT, Human Resources, and Legal, while drawing upon the expertise of peers within the function and their organizations.
  • Prepare and ensure effective communication of new and ongoing operating model refinements within US GREFP.
  • Shape the vision and mission of US GREFP together with Head of US GREFP in line with PTRB and the priorities of GREFP, Finance, and Takeda.
  • Support the Head of US GREFP to prepare and continuously improve US GREFP LT meetings and broader team meetings.
  • Monitor the budget usage to ensure the right projects are prioritized in line with projected forecasts and ensure adequate resourcing is available both internally but also by the relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with GREFP finance business partner and relevant finance controller(s) to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Ensure continuous improvement within the US Region. Monitor industry best practices. Introduce and leverage digital, automation, and contemporary technology e.g. AI, big data and work with the rest of leadership team to implement.
  • Support the US Region team to leverage Takeda’s global scale to take advantage of global and functional synergies, while applying best practices, managing risk, and making sound decisions with agility at a global, regional, and local level.
  • Prepare and align presentations and decision material for presentation by Head of US GREFP where cross-functional coordination is required.
  • Prepare and align communication material for Head of US Region, GREFP.
  • Regularly report project statuses, highlighting significant project deviations and risks, provide recommendations on mitigation measures
  • Enhance the visibility of US Region achievements within Takeda organization.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • BA or BS required, MBA or Masters Degree with Scientific and/or Business emphasis preferred.
  • 5 plus years of experience working in a consulting role (either in-house or for a professional services organization).
  • Interest or experience of working within the biotech/pharma industry, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Track record of successfully achieving business results.
  • Experience working in a complex global environment.
  • Exceptionally skilled at stakeholder management and negotiation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Global travel up to 10%.
  • Hybrid working model.
