Government Pricing AnalystTakeda PharmaceuticalExton, PAAbout the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as the Government Pricing Analyst in our Exton, PA office. As the Government Pricing Analyst, you will:

  • Perform the end-to-end calculation of monthly and quarterly submission of product information, pricing information and other pertinent data to Federal agencies, including calculating and reporting the quarterly Best Price (BP), monthly and quarterly Average Manufacturers Price (AMP), quarterly Average Sale Price (ASP) and quarterly Public Health Service (PHS).

  • Ensure submission of pricing information within the statutory time frames – CMS, State agencies as required by statute (i.e., NY EPIC) and/or contract (i.e. Texas Supplemental).

  • Coordinate with Commercial Contracts group, Legal, and Internal Audit Departments to ensure compliance with the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, the Deficit Reduction Act of 2007, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act and the FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act.

How you will contribute:

Government Pricing:

· Will have to understand calculation methodology, system functions and be able to calculate various government prices

· Communicate pricing results to various government agencies and internal departments as required by statute or contract.

· Investigate and resolve any/all issues on CMS exception reports.

· Be up to date on all applicable CMS releases relating to pricing calculations.

· Partner with Commercial Contracts to understand current contracting activities. Be knowledgeable of price protection, bundling, stocking discounts, etc., to understand impact on various calculations.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis on pricing results as requested by Finance or the Business Unit(s); analyze and document financial and other supporting data related to government contracts, AMP/BP/ASP/NFamp/FCP pricing and Medicaid rebates

  • Work with team to ensure smooth operation of the GP system

  • Assist with all research projects for future contract management data initiatives

  • Assist Finance with questions concerning payment tracking and documentation and accruals

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2+ years of contracts, pricing, and/or finance in the pharmaceutical industry required

  • 3+ years’ experience in Government Pricing, strongly preferred

  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in order to maximize results.

  • Pays close attention to project deadlines and schedules.

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
