The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Infectious Diseases Research program management team to advance programs within portfolio spanning from discovery to early development. As a program manager, you will play a critical role in shaping strategy, facilitating communication, driving execution, and managing change within a high paced and product-focused environment. You will work cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to support cross-functional research program teams driving multiple concurrent programs in the global health space. Your contributions will be essential to accelerating the delivery of novel mRNA medicines to transform the lives of patients.

This position reports into the Director, Portfolio Strategy & Operations, and is based in Cambridge, MA.

Heres What Youll Do:

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional researchers and external collaborators to build and maintain strategically aligned integrated program plans

  • Guide programs through concept, strategy and execution stages and support sustainable translation into the early development space

  • Ensure highly effective cross-functional team and cross-organizational communication, coordination & action item follow up

  • Employ your experience and acumen to manage key risks, prioritize and optimize workstreams, and manage change impact to ensure delivery of program outcomes

  • Partner with Research Operations to identify, prioritize and facilitate resourcing and operational workflows necessary to enable scientific collaboration & execution

  • Work dynamically to meet program challenges utilizing a tailored approach to adaptively meet individual program prioritized needs

  • Manage tools & provide regular program updates to satisfy executive, therapeutic area and program team level reporting requirements

  • Play a leadership role as part of research program teams, utilizing a highly collaborative and influential approach to ensure program outcomes are delivered

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

  • You are comfortable acting as an owner and enjoy a highly dynamic and collaborative approach to drive program success in a fast-moving research organization.

  • You have at least 5years of experiencein project and program management field with a demonstrated track record of successfully driving early-stage product development programs in the research space

  • Experienced in leading or working within cross-functional project teams, including defining objectives and deliverables, building, and maintaining project/program plans, and resource and budget management

  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent internal and external collaborative programs simultaneously, including defining integrated strategic workplans to ensure effective and coordinated delivery of outcomes across institutions

  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on actionable outcomes and delivery

  • You have a strong understanding of the Research cycle that is employed across the pharma industry

  • You put team before tasksby collaborating actively with all team members and supporting them

  • You work independently yet engage proactively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to get alignment and drive projects and programs forward.

  • Knowledge of project and program management tools and timeline visualization software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.), Smartsheet experience is highly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required with prior laboratory experience, candidates with a masters degree and/or relevant experience in infectious disease research preferred

  • Candidates with PMP or other professional project or program management credentials preferred

  • Experience with external alliance and/or CRO management a plus
