The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The lab addresses some of the most urgent and intractable problems in the biomedical sciences in cancer and AIDS, drug development and first-in-human clinical trials, applications of nanotechnology in medicine, and rapid response to emerging threats of infectious diseases.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Contracts and Acquisitions (C&A) provides all purchasing, subcontracting, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and transportation services for the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNL).
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide services related to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, shipment of products, and third party warehousing
- Perform administrative and physical tasks in connection with the receipt and stocking of goods
- Receive goods for inventory replenishment and maintain/rotate stock
- Fill warehouse and maintenance requisition orders in an accurate and timely manner
- Verify that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against requisitions
- Maintain manual and computerized inventory of consumable supplies
- Conduct physical inventory of stock items
- Maintain Feed & Bedding Warehouse through receipt, stock rotation, delivery and housekeeping of the facility
- Check for damaged goods and forward finding to the Supervisor or Liaison for remedial action
- Ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the FN
- Prepare and keep records of goods received
- Candidates will be trained and effectively utilize program specific IT applications (i.e. CORCENTRIC, COGNOS, Maximo, PowerBuilder, etc.)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Related warehouse experience
- Must be qualified to operate Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand and/or power trucks)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to perform related physical tasks, including: routinely lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Work involves walking, standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, potential exposure to dust and compressed gases. Will work around moving objects and/or vehicles
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills required for data entry and retrieval requirements
- Ability to become educated in and maintain certification for Hazardous Materials in Transportation (General Awareness training)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Knowledge of warehousing, receiving, shipping and delivery processes

- This position may require continuous or intermittent exposure to and exertion in environmental conditions such as working outdoors, temperature extremes, humidity extremes etc. as part of the job
