/PROJECT:

This individual will sit in the Lab Operations team and participate in a cross-functional team (e.g., Procurement, Suppliers and Lab Managers) to improve our current processes related to lab consumables with a near term objective of centralizing lab consumable inventory to reduce overall cost and storage space required.

In support of this objective, this individual will lead a project to improve efficiency through the re-design of the purchase order (PO) invoicing process.  They will work with key stakeholders to document and analyze the current state process and provide recommendations for process improvement. The project will include activities such as understanding process requirements, process mapping, collecting/analyzing data, and brainstorming solutions.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

  • Student in their 3rd or 4th year of Undergrad pursing a degree in Engineering or Science. Industrial Engineering major is preferred.
  • Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the program.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

In the U.S., the hiring range for this position is $ 21.00 to $ 25.00 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
