The Role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking an exceptional individual to support our corporate development and partnering objectives. 
Position OverviewThe goals and responsibilities of this position include: 
  • Assess the protein therapeutic landscape to continually understand BigHat’s position and opportunities for differentiation
  • Develop compelling materials that clearly communicate BigHat’s value proposition and opportunities for flagship partner engagement
  • Identify and build relationships with prospective partners leveraging a deep engagement and science-forward approach
  • Execute on business development strategy to achieve exceptional key results aligned with corporate objectives and our mission to design next-generation antibodies for patients 
This role reports directly to the Chief Business Officer, works closely with external parties and other executives and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new partnering opportunities with rationale for value creation on each side
  • Identify and attend relevant conferences, events, and awards relevant to machine learning for antibody discovery and BigHat’s internal therapeutic pipeline
  • Increase awareness of the BigHat Milliner platform and progress in designing next-generation antibodies
  • Develop and refine all business development presentations 
  • Provide market/commercial analyses for potential pipeline programs BigHat is evaluating for their internal pipeline or partnering opportunities
  • Assess relative market risk/benefit profiles for new internal or external programs
  • Coordinate prospective partnering meetings and create internal and shared materials
  • Draft prospective partner collaboration and licensing proposals
  • Track partnering activities and action items
  • Peform analytics for corporate development objectives including funding activities

About You
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in biopharma business development, corporate development, or strategy as operator, consultant, investor or financial services
  • Bachelor of Science; MBA, PhD, MD preferred
  • Motivated and passionate about leveraging new technologies in drug discovery
  • Proven analytical skills and business acumen
  • Comfortable with technical details and a science-first approach
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to synthesize clear and concise materials
  • Understanding of contracts and negotiation tactics
  • Financial and budgetary experience
