Associate Emerging Tech and Lab Engineer

Purpose:                                    

Analyze and implement emerging technology solutions that deliver business value in a timely manner, under the direction of a more senior leader.  Evaluate the applicability and viability of these new technologies from the framework of effectiveness and fit within the enterprise portfolio, Support infrastructure lab through support of PoCs and daily maintenance/administration.  Demonstrate technical precision and possess a good understanding of software development, data, and infrastructure, including but not limited to compute, network, virtualization/cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established technical protocols and assess results with supervision.  Perform routine tasks competently.  Effectively organize work.
• Recognize and report data , technical, and requirement variances.
• Learn and effectively implement new methods and technologies.
• Evaluate reliability, maintainability, and effectiveness of new solutions.
• Proactively consult literature and publicly available information to understand purpose of assignments and to effectively implement solutions.
• Obtain estimates/quotes from vendors and provide as input into overall project time and cost estimates.
• Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work product.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous internship or related experience required
• Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity
• Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out job functions
• Functional understanding of common emerging solutions such as Blockchain
• Internship in similar or related role a plus
• Demonstrated ability to progress emerging technologies from concept to pilot and transition to a production state

• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities
