HYBRID Work Arrangement - This role is considered a hybrid position that is within a commutable driving distance to the Summit, New Jersey office to work onsite 1-2 days per week and attend occasional in person meetings / events as required.

The Opportunity 

An ideal candidate for this role is someone who possesses strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills, has the ability to work with diverse groups of people from within various departments and levels of the organization including senior leadership, and uses experience and good judgment to deliver solutions that add exceptional business value. The Associate Director of Demand Planning, reporting to US Commercial will be responsible for creating, measuring, and tracking key business performance metrics for the Seqirus portfolio, including support for future launches. This individual will be an integral partner to Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, Sales and Marketing teams. Key components to this role will include monitoring KPIs, highlighting issues, investigating and interpreting data, and communicating findings to leadership to drive strategic and operational decisions.

The Role 

Support, create and implement the strategic direction for the business

  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales, supply, distribution, and operations, to ensure alignment of demand planning processes. Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization.

  • Collaborate and influence Sales and Marketing team to understand key forecast drivers, track and communicate demand changes and reduce forecast error.

  • Accountable for support and generation of Demand Planning KPI’s providing key insights for various levels of the organization.

  • Responsible to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and evaluate variances versus actual demand.

  • Develop, examine, analyse, and present a variety of customer data points, deriving insights to help guide strategic initiatives

  • Research risks to the portfolio, communicate and escalate to senior leadership for resolution.

  • Manage adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate policy, and industry standards.

  • Executes the US business to ensure product availability and delivery performance to meet customer contract commitments within the Customer Operations organization prioritizing product shipments.

  • Support adherence to performance standards.

Manage fast-paced environment and team, with the ability to set and balance competing priorities

  • Lead/manage several projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Superior ability to anticipate and de-escalate difficult situations and conversations.

  • Elevate and improve dashboard reporting to key stakeholders and the leadership team

  • Assist in validation of effectiveness of Inventory Management results, expanding and scaling capabilities in this area.

  • Industrious relationship builder undertaking and assisting with a variety of tasks associated with Demand Planning.

  • Liaison with Finance in communicating demand forecast assumptions.

  • Perform varied analysis for “what if” scenarios to support demand assumptions

Identifiy education or training opportunities for direct reports.

  • Manage direct reports by planning, assigning, and directing work.

  • Act as a thought leader; place emphasis and value on innovative solutions and calculated risks

  • Collaborate with the Director of Demand to help identify and develop talent while establishing a solid succession plan; build bench strength for critical roles

  • Ensure superior and consistent team quality and productivity results are delivered

  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects challenging status quo for Demand Planning.

Your skills and experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Operations Management.  Minimum of 10 plus years of relevant Demand Planning, and/or Commercial Analytics role supporting commercial operations.

  • Experience in the following areas is strongly preferred: Power BI, SAP, and IQVIA. APICS training recommended.

  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
