We are looking for a Senior Pharmacokineticist who will support Pharmacokinetic (PK) and Pharmacodynamic (PD) requirements for Discovery and IND-stage project teams. This person will be providing input into / designing / coordinating early preclinical and nonclinical in vivo studies. Additionally, we expect the person in this role to be collaborating with Therapeutic Area scientific staff and/or CROs performing these studies.

A day in the life of the Sr PPK/PD Kineticist may look like:

  • Serve on Discovery-stage project teams as a subject matter authority for the Preclinical Pharmacokinetics / Pharmacodynamics (PPK/PD) group, providing input to the design of preclinical PK/pharmacology studies.
  • Collaborate effectively with various groups within Regeneron, to develop a PK strategy for each project and then deliver the required output.
  • Optimally communicate project team queries, requests and expectations (i.e. timing and results) from the Project Teams to management.
  • Conduct and report PK and PK/PD analyses using data derived from preclinical studies.

This may be the role for you if you:

  • Enjoy preparing and presenting the PK/PD analyses to internal project teams and senior management, and writing summary reports and documents to support regulatory filings.
  • Want to work in close association with the Toxicology, Pathology, Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology (modeling & simulation) functions, within the Drug Safety and Pharmacometrics Department, to deliver data and study reports / regulatory documents in support of project progression.

In order to be considered qualified for this role you must:

Have a minimum of a PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Biology/Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience (Biotech or Pharma). This experience should include:

In-depth theoretical and applied understanding of PK and PD, used to describe and understand the pharmacology/biology of therapeutic proteins (required)

Proven ability to plan, organize, lead all aspects of PK and/or PK/PD studies, and analyze PK/PD data (required)

Knowledge of and experience with relevant PK/PD software applications (e.g., WinNonLin) (preferred)

Experience in drafting PK reports and relevant IND sections (preferred)

Previous experience with protein/monoclonal antibody therapeutics in one or more of the following therapeutic areas - oncology, inflammation / immunology, metabolism, infectious disease or ophthalmology - (required)

Additional experience with other modalities, including siRNA, gene therapy, CAR-T and other modalities (preferred)

Salary Range (annually)

$121,200.00 - $197,800.00
