Associate Director, DUPIXENT GI Consumer Marketing

A Typical Day Might Look Like This:

The Associate Director of Gastroenterology Consumer Marketing will contribute to the financial success of DUPIXENT and will report to the Executive Director, Gastroenterology, Marketing Lead.   The primary areas of responsibility will be to lead, develop and implement comprehensive Consumer Marketing plans for the DUPIXENT GI indication, along with preparing for future indication launches. Specifically, this will include strategy development, agency and budget management, patient and caregiver education material development and implementation, campaign plan development and implementation, coordination with market research, as well as consumer message/creative development and execution.

  • Contributing to and implementing a 1-3 year consumer strategy and tactical plan for the pre-launch, launch and post-launch periods across current and future indications as part of the annual brand planning process
  • Develop and implement a plan for optimal channel distribution for communication with patients with Eosinophilic Esophagitis and caregivers
  • Build business cases for patient-oriented programs that contribute to sustainable brand growth
  • Drive innovative digital and social media strategies, and develop programs that accelerate brand awareness and action
  • Create and refine innovative patient education materials and execute plans for dissemination of appropriate patient materials via physicians’ offices, email, direct mail, electronic delivery and other media
  • Working closely with the cross functional Consumer Marketing team to leverage developed programs, and ensure consistency of messaging and branding elements
  • Develop innovative patient and caregiver focused unbranded and branded tools and programs (e.g., disease education information and materials provided to patient, patient support tools/programs to improve HCP and patient communication, branded patient education information and materials provided to patient)
  • Work closely with Patient Advocacy to Understand patient organization landscape and develop patient organization & advocacy strategy
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to develop and integrate public relations patient strategies and programs
  • Working closely with our co-commercialization partner to ensure alignment of Consumer strategy and tactics across the Alliance
  • Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost effective delivery of all programs while tracking and monitoring KPIs
  • Understand and leverage trends in the marketplace impacting Consumer Marketing as well as competitive benchmarking in order to provide data driven strategic insights to inform all patient/ consumer marketing programs and tactics

If This Looks Like You:

  • Demonstrated competency in managing a consumer marketing effort both internally & externally for a product launch
  • U.S. Consumer brand marketing experience of at least 3 years including product launches.    
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members to develop and execute education programs and support materials
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members and across departments to ensure consistency and collaboration in strategy development and implementation of programs
    - Ability to create and implement patient RM stream
    - Demonstrated competency in media planning to ensure proper mix and optimization (media includes digital, social, mobile search, and general awareness print.)
    - Demonstrated competency in agency management and budget management
    - Demonstrated ability to implement health literacy principles to impact overall consumer communications platform
  • Ability to grasp complex scientific concepts, clinical data and simplify it
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating emotional intelligence, both internally & externally
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Work in a hybrid environment of in-office and remote work
  • Must be willing to travel 25% (including weekend travel as needed)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of "progressive" industry/relevant professional experience; 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, product management, or related experience industry/relevant professional experience
  • Gastroenterology/Immunology/Biologics experience preferred

Salary Range (annually)

$148,100.00 - $241,700.00
