The Role:

  • Provide leadership and direction to employees for the purpose of improving employee health and safety programs to maintain a healthy work environment for a multi building campus.

  • Collaborate in the development of wellbeing education/training for our employees.

  • Collaborate with facilities regarding healthy choices in our cafeteria offerings.

  • Provide systematic assessment and evaluation of work-related injuries; post occupational exposure medical surveillance and recommend course of action.

  • As needed, engage outside Case Manager to coordinate specialist appointments for workers compensation cases.

  • Monitor healthcare provider recommendations for workplace accommodations and ongoing medical treatment and provide regular updates to our Benefits department and Workers Compensation insurer.

  • Provide regular updates to EH&S team in relation to workplace injuries; employee restrictions and OSHA statistics, and progress with Moderna Ready Program.

  • Collaborate with EH&S team in daily Huddles.

  • Maintain Occ. Health office electronic HIPAA compliantdata managements systems and maintain employee health records electronically.

  • Initiate and facilitate regular meetings with Human Resources, medical providers, and insurance adjusters regarding employee progress as needed with respect to accommodations and work status.

  • Oversite for the Moderna Ready Ergonomics program including but not limited to; ensuring referrals are made directly to Moderna Ready Team; coordinating quarterly review of statistics, including ergonomic assessments, work injury prevention, participation statistics and assessing the needs of the campus.

  • Lead and support EH&S projects and tasks as determined by the US EH&S Director or SVP, EH&S including, but not limited to EHS Fair, involvement with fire and medical response drills,, and Incident Command Crisis Drills and possibly IBC committee etc.).

  • Actively engage in the identification, review, and resolution of health and safety concerns from all levels within the company.

  • Ensure that the company is up to date with public health and employment health safety legislations.

  • Lead and Collaborate with our on-site Occupational Health Clinic to ensure program goals are met:

  • Oversite of the Medical Emergency Responder Team (MERT) including annual first aid, CPR, and AED training program that includes Stop the Bleed training; monthly meeting with the team that include a review of past months events, skill building sessions with the support of 3rd party training partners.

  • Provide systematic assessment and evaluation of work-related injuries and illnesses and refer for outside medical care as needed.

  • Provide post occupational exposure medical surveillance, analysis results and recommend course of action.

  • Coordinate and manage lost and restricted time care for workplace injuries.

  • Monitor healthcare provider recommendations for workplace accommodations, continuous treatment, and work regularly with our Benefits department and Workers Comp insurer.

  • Support the Coordination of and management of seasonal flu and booster clinics

  • Advise managers/supervisors on restricted duty placement or job modification.

  • Maintain an inventory of supplies for the MERT bags and operating clinics.

  • Ensure monthly checks for MERT supplies is maintained.

  • Support the Coordination of and management of seasonal flu and booster clinics,

  • Support of all Moderna Health and Wellness Programs.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

  • Hold a valid Massachusetts RN license

  • Minimum of 6 years Registered Nursing experience

  • Experience in managing the OSHA log

  • Experience in managing Workers Compensation claims

  • Preferred 4 years Employee/Occupational Health experience

  • Wiliness to take on new responsibilities and learn new skills

  • Strong leadership / effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).

  • Well organized, detail oriented and capable of managing rapidly changing priorities

  • Experience in GMP Biotech or Pharma industry preferred

  • Preferred Bachelors degree

  • Occupational Health Nursing Experience preferred

  • COHN-S certified preferred

  • Computer skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Smartsheet
