Thank you for your interest in a career at Senti Biosciences. Our mission is to create a new generation of smarter medicines that outmaneuver complex diseases in ways previously inconceivable. We are passionate about designing gene circuits to improve the “intelligence” of cell and gene therapies in order to enhance their therapeutic effectiveness against a broad range of diseases that conventional medicines are unable to address.

At Senti, we find purpose and meaning knowing that our efforts have the potential to improve the lives of patients and their families with more effective and safer treatment options. With science as our foundation and empathy as our key guiding principle, colleagues become friends, managers become mentors, and with time, cancer becomes history.

He/she will also have strong communication skills, be able to work in a matrixed and fast paced environment, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and show a deep commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and implement the use of biomarkers in preclinical and clinical translational research. These biomarkers should demonstrate pharmacologic/pharmacodynamic effects, characterize dose-response relationships, and evaluate patient or disease factors that correlate with therapeutic response.
  • Work with internal teams, collaborators, and/or CROs to validate and implement biomarkers for clinical trials.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present biomarker data to key stake holders.
  • Effectively collaborate in highly matrixed organization to drive advancement of early-stage projects into translational and clinical development.
  • Act as a technical expert in his/her field and provide guidance for internal and external collaborators.
  • Ensure that all studies are performed in timely manner with appropriate scientific rigor and appropriate documentation.

Qualifications:
  • PhD scientist with a minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral training in academia or industry. Also required is at least 3 years’ industry experience in translational research.
  • In-depth understanding of translational research/medicine and clinical biomarkers in drug development.
  • Extensive experience in techniques commonly used in translational research, such as flow cytometry, IHC, ELISA, and multiplex assays (e.g., Luminex, MSD).
  • Excellent critical thinking and scientific/strategic acumen, with a demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate (orally and in writing) complex biomarker data.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be hands on.
  • Demonstrated creativity in problem solving.
