Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Research Sr. Scientist in San Diego, CA with the following requirements: PhD degree in Biological Sciences, Biology, or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 10 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Conceive, develop and implement patient IPSC-derived 3D culture models of ALS, SETD5 and SHANK3 diseases for drug discovery; design, set up and conduct phenotypic screenings in cortical and motoneuron 3D brain models to identify novel medicines; develop, optimize and run drug discovery automation platforms by combination of FLIPR, high content imaging and cell morphology analysis; screen, optimize and validate gene therapy vectors in human 2D and 3D human in vitro disease models of neurodegeneration and developmental encephalopathies; 10 years of experience in human disease modeling in the pharmaceutical industry. Requires travel up to 10% of the time.
