Senior Research Associate I – Cell Biology

Description

We are looking for Senior Research Associate I in Cell Biology who will independently plan, design, execute, and analyze experiments, with supervisor review, to meet project team goals. This role will require review and incorporation of theoretical and technical aspects of experimental methods from relevant scientific literature.

Essential Functions:
 

• Isolation of PBMCs and/or immune cell subtypes from human and NHP whole blood 
• Coordination and maintenance of annual CRO contracts for blood donation programs 
• Experience with sterile technique and mammalian cell culture, including both established cell lines and primary immune cells
• Knowledge of functional assays for both T and B cells 
• Development of cell-based assays, including, but not limited to: cell proliferation, cell signaling, and cytokine production
• Expertise with flow cytometry, including analysis of ligand/receptor binding, receptor quantification, and intracellular cytokine detection
• Experience with cytokine analysis by ELISA, luminex, and MSD
• Familiarity with analysis of scientific datasets, including GraphPad PRISM
• Presentation of experimental results at project and department meetings
• Mentorship of more junior associates to troubleshoot their experiments

Educational Requirement:

• BA/BS or equivalent in a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
