The Associate Director, Analytics Products plays a critical role in leading the Commercial Investment Optimization capability, including marketing mix modeling (MMx) and multi-touch attribution (MTA) solutions across multiple therapeutic areas at AbbVie. The role partners with Omni-Channel Analytics, Data Strategy, Digital Lab, and Brand Analytics teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions to meet internal stakeholder needs.

 

The role reports to the Director, Data and Analytics Product and has the responsibility to oversee the full analytics product lifecycle for the enterprise-wide marketing mix and multi-touch attribution solutions supporting the U.S. Commercial organization. You will play a critical role in design, development, execution, and management of solutions that optimize promotional investments through advanced analytics. This individual will lead a team of direct reports and augmented vendor staffing to deliver scalable solutions across various therapeutic areas. This is a high visibility role with the opportunity to present to executive leadership in the US Commercial organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver marketing mix and multi-touch attribution models, investment scenario simulation and optimization, to provide guidance for future investment and promotional execution across the U.S. product portfolio
  • Design, develop, and execute data and analytic processes to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI across promotional ecosystem
  • Design and execute advanced analytics projects comprising of linear/ non-linear regression and machine learning models to quantify the impact of key promotional tactics and to answer various ad-hoc business questions
  • Collaborate with Brand Analytics and Brand Marketing teams to formulate strategic and tactical investment/optimization recommendations to improve campaign/program performance
  • Foster consultative engagement with key stakeholders
  • Create and conduct presentations and read-outs to various levels of leadership
  • Execute core analyses with limited supervision
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage and enhance the Integrated Optimization Tool to enable optimization of commercial investments in omni-channel environment.

 

Supervisory / Management Responsibilities:

Lead 2 direct reports. Manage vendor relationships and budgets.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex topics to senior management and contributing to high level presentations and discussions
  • Experience working with and managing multiple internal partners and external agencies
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence development and adoption of analytic capabilities
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Strong focus on teamwork, relationship-building and influencing others; acting courageously and constructively, with agility and a high degree of accountability.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.

 

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics
  • 8+ years of experience in advanced analytics and statistical modeling including Marketing Mix Modeling and Multi-Touch Attribution
  • 6+ years of experience defining data and technology requirements to support analytics
  • 6+ years of experience leveraging multiple sources of data and integrating them to deliver actionable recommendations
  • 2+ years of experience leading and developing direct reports

 

Preferred Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of various statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with Python/R/SQL
  • Familiarity with various prescription and patient data sources such as Symphony Health, IQVIA, etc.
