Job Details

Resilience is seeking a talented Scientist for the Gene Therapy Franchise who will:

· Establish novel Cell Culture technology modules to enhance Resilience’s position as a leader in viral vector (AAV) process development

· Examine state of the art technology platforms and disruptive approaches to existing cell line and AAV vector engineering platforms

· Support the Upstream Process Development and Cell Line Development teams in developing automated workflows ranging from clone selection to bioreactor cell culture

Job Responsibilities

· Execute and report AAV cell culture work packages to meet the franchise’s preclinical and clinical development plans.

· Screen methods and processes to optimize cell culture technology and operations

· Design and execute stability studies to assess the lifecycle viability of engineered cell lines

· Assist with organizing and streamlining work activities, including:

· Ensuring adequate and appropriate inventory of materials and supplies

· Ensuring equipment is appropriately maintained and calibrated

· Interacting with suppliers on design, procurement and testing of PD equipment

· Ensuring documentation and data management practices are followed, reviewing documentation

· Support collaborations with partners, technology developers, and suppliers

Qualifications

  • SCIENTIST I
  • Ph.D. with 1+ years, Master’s with 3+ years or Bachelor’s with 4+ years of relevant experience in Clinical Cell Line Development or Cell Engineering
  • SCIENTIST II
  • Ph.D. with 2+ years, Master’s with 5+ years or Bachelor’s with 6+ years of relevant experience in Clinical Cell Line Development or Cell Engineering

· Strong cell culture skills with fundamental understanding of viral production biology

· Experience with experimental design, data analysis and organization

· Self-starter and team player who can balance the needs of an entrepreneurial environment with the requirements of a GMP environment

Preferred Experience

· Experience with automated micro bioreactor systems (ambr15, ambr250)

· Experience with analytical or statistical software, e.g. JMP, Softmax Pro, XLfit, Gen5, etc.

· Experience in programming liquid handling unit and generating automation recipes

· General programing experience (e.g. python) a plus

· Clinical Cell Line Development Experience
