About the Role

As the Senior Cloud Development Engineer, you will play a key role in providing hands-on development and leadership in implementing and maintaining Pulse Bioscience’s cloud-based services to support our medical devices in the field, in both manufacturing and engineering, to deliver cross-functional features, define APIs, and identify the conflicts or potential locks of these definitions in the foreseeable future. This role will be hands-on implementing high-level features on AWS serverless stack. 

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading the implementation of microservices on AWS serverless stack, leveraging the available infrastructure capabilities from AWS, and keeping the maintenance overhead to lowest.
  • Hands-on implementation of cloud-based APIs and features to facilitate communication between a medical device and cloud endpoints.
  • Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry cloud-based best practices, especially related to scale  security.
  • Implementing the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption gives you a sense of purpose! 

To be successful, you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 
  • 7+ years’ experience in developing pragmatic REST/microservices in the Software industry. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in developing microservices on AWS serverless model, leveraging AIM, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway. 
  • 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience in a fast paced, high growth tech environment. 
  • Hands-on development experience with exceptional programming, design, and testing skills in any high-level language are essential to this role.
  • Python coding required. C++ experience in medical device industry startup environment is an asset!
