The Role
Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing for COVID Vaccines, the Global Marketing Director, Commercial Scientific Strategy and Engagement will be a key member of the Global Marketing Team for COVID Vaccines. This role will have responsibility for developing and implementing the Commercial Scientific Strategy and narrative to help drive the Global Brand Strategy for Modernas COVID-19 Vaccines. The individual will also have responsibility for development of the engagement strategy for Key Opinion Leaders and Digital Opinion Leaders.
Spikevax Bivalent is a truly groundbreaking product. Moderna launched Spikevax to the globe and continues to be seen as a leader in vaccine development in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this role, you will be joining Moderna at a critical time for Moderna and their COVID-19 Vaccines. As the pandemic and vaccines evolve, this role will be a key contributor within Modernas newly chartered Vaccines commercial organization.
Heres What Youll Do
Develop and execute a Commercial Scientific Strategy that supports and drives the overall Brand Strategy.
Develop and inform all aspects of Key Opinion Leader/Digital Opinion Leader engagement including Commercial Ad Boards and Congresses.
Gather and leverage insights from Key Opinion Leaders and Digital Opinion Leaders to develop and refine strategies to tactics.
Build relationships with Global and Regional Key Opinion Leaders and Digital Opinion Leaders.
Collaborate with internal (Medical Affairs, HEOR) and external stakeholders (KOLs/DOLs, Professional Societies, and Vendors).
Work in collaboration with the Global COVID Marketing Team, Regions, and Markets to identify additional data needs to support implementation and execution of the Global Brand Strategy.
Identify innovative approaches and tactics to drive business objectives through digital channels.
Work in a team-based environment assisting in the development of strategies and leading implementation of tactics to maximize sales, market share and profitability for Modernas COVID vaccines
Collaborate as a representative of the Global Marketing Team by sharing and guiding markets with timely updates, collecting insights, local market feedback and voice of customer on key strategy initiatives
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and commitment to developing differentiated and value-added offering and experience in the market.
Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 10 years of experience within marketing (either global or local), sales, or market access required
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Successful track record of building Commercial Scientific Strategies and executing through KOL/DOL engagement. tactical marketing, including using novel digital methods to activate and engage with targeted consumers and motivate them to achieved desired objectives
Ability to collaborate among a range of key areas (Regional/Local Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Communications, Promotions, Policy)
Ability to demonstrate a competitive spirit and resiliency to take on giants in a highly competitive marketplace
Intense sense of urgency, curiosity, and ambition to excel and build something from the ground up, navigating all the requisite ambiguity and complexity that comes with writing the rulebook while executing in real time
Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team with the ability to self-motivate and get things done in a fast-paced environment
Experience and strong understanding in commercial launch will be important for the fast pace of COVID Commercialization and evolving vaccines landscape
