The Team 

KeywayTM TCR Discovery is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist in T Cell Receptors (TCRs) and peptide Human Leukocyte Antigen complex (pHLA) engineering and production to support the discovery of novel TCR biotherapeutics.

The Role 

As a Scientist, TCR Discovery, you will be using the very latest display technologies with the ultimate goal of helping others to make better medicine. This role requires in-depth knowledge of current state-of-the-art protein engineering and production and the ability to apply these practices at the bench. The position will drive technology developments and optimization of TCR affinity and specificity using prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, to improve TCR drug developability for development as a drug candidate.

This role will report to Principal Scientist with autonomy owning various stakeholders, projects, and tasks in a dynamic start-up environment while keeping up the pace of Alloy. This is you!

• Support: Design and execute the latest display (phage/yeast/mammalian) technologies and engineering strategies for TCR therapeutics
• Enable: Develop and optimize the discovery and engineering platforms for TCR therapeutics
• Self-start: Identify and solve the key questions/problem in the therapeutic field
• Innovate: Look for and develop new ideas/strategies for therapeutics
• Collaborate: Collaborate and coordinate with others in the cross-functional scientific environment

Why We Value You 

• You have a Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field or M.Sc with at least 4 years of industry experience or B.Sc with at least 6 years of biotech experience
• You are skilled at high-throughput approaches to support discovery, engineering, and screening
• You are experienced with protein-protein interactions, and biochemical/biophysical characterization
• You are skilled at design and protein library construction
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills and are able to thrive in a cross-functional scientific environment
• You have the ability to multitask and accomplish goals under project and team timelines
• You have an independent sense of urgency, persistence, and integrity

Desired Multipliers  

• Rigorous and innovative scientific thinking
• Deep understanding of protein engineering, biochemistry, including analyses, structure and function
• Track record in antibodies, TCR, enzymes or protein engineering, expression, and purification
• Ability to work across various US and international time zones 
• Accommodate occasional travel as needed (<5%)
