The Role:

This position is part of Modernas Manufacturing Science and Technology team responsible for technical support of GMP operations at our Norwood site. The Associate Director will be responsible for enabling use of data analytics to support MST activities across the department. This includes using data analytics to assist in investigations, to monitor process performance, and to improve manufacturing processes. processes.

Heres What Youll Do:

  • Work within MS&T and with technology development to gather user requirements for data analytics project. Design and build data analytics systems/tools/models in accordance with user requirements.

  • Work closely with Digital on automation projects to ensure successful buildout, integration and implementation of digital information tools during technology transfer of Moderna manufacturing

  • Develop appropriate procedures, documents and training material to enable efficient and compliant use of data analytics tools for cGMP and non-GMP use.

  • Represent MST with Digital, Operations, and Technical Development teams as a subject matter expert (SME) on manufacturing data analytics. Subject matter expertise on statistical best practice.

  • Build and support statistical models for Manufacturing Sciences including technical analysis, statistical process control, univariate and multivariate analyses, and process analytics.

  • Contribute to our process data management and overall knowledge management strategy.

  • Complete data analyses in support of operational questions and investigations.

  • Create or modify automation methods (scripts) and implement for introduction of new processes into operations.

  • Assist teams with design of experiments and data analysis models to advance understanding of technical issues or advance improvement opportunities in Operations.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

  • MS or equivalent in a scientific, engineering, or mathematical discipline with 8+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or Ph.D. level with 5+ years experience. BS applicants with 12+ years relevant experience will also be considered.

  • Knowledge of relevant quality systems, cGMP, and industry standards applicable to pharmaceutical digital and data information systems.
