Job Details

Responsible for performing in vivo and in vitro experiments in the field of bone disease.  Has solid scientific understanding of mouse models of disease and able to follow standard operating protocols in in vivo & in vitro research. Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepares scientific presentations and ability to present to the group.

As a Researcher on the Skeletal team, a typical day might include:

  • Managing mouse cohorts - monitoring mice for health status, recording clinical observations at regular intervals and routine bio-fluid collections.

  • Collecting blood from adult mice weekly via retro-orbital, submandibular veins or tail vein.

  • Performing necropsy and harvesting bones and soft tissues based on project needs.

  • Administering antibodies or implant cells SC, IV or IP.

  • In vivo CT imaging mouse and CT data analysis.

  • Performing ELISA, Western.

  • Processing blood and harvested tissue for multi-parameter flow cytometry.

  • Processing tissue for immunohistochemistry (frozen and/or paraffin).

  • Ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining lab records, and adhering to safety regulations.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years' highly relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1+ year highly relevant experience. You should have a solid scientific understanding of mouse models of disease and able to perform in vivo experiments using mouse models. You must have experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting experimental data.  You must be able to handle and work with mice.

Salary Range (annually)

$64,800.00 - $101,400.00
