Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Program Manager Associate to join our team. The PMTM Project Management Associate will be responsible for supporting DHA DAD IO/J-6 and their respective Branches. The team member will support DHA in the implementation of an enterprise-wide execution of shared services in order to reduce cost and improve the performance. This effort centers on creating and developing bidirectional exchange of data with the goal of making health care more efficient by complying with the intent of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to implement electronic health and benefits records.
The selected candidate will lead the development of work products and deliverables; establish relationships with primary clients and stakeholders; and identify opportunities to improve processes. The selected candidate will also support business development across the MHS.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans, initiates, and manages information technology (IT) projects.
- Leads and guides the work of technical staff.
- Serves as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
- Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage.
- Monitors progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
- Applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments; assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
- Contributes to the development of work products and deliverables; manages recurring tasks and work products.
- Work with clients and team to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop slide decks / presentations.
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Analysis, Statistics, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of relevant project management experience
Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Tier 3 (T3) Security Clearance
Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Products and related applications.
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical and technical documents
Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents
Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to executive leadership
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with the DoD; Military Health System experience a plus
Experience with leading small teams, coaching and collaborating with colleagues, providing feedback and guidance on work performance
PMP Certification
ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certification
