Job Details

The Senior Credit Representative will manage credit limits for L-ABV customer accounts. Review data using system generated reports. Independently perform timely, accurate and complete account reviews and be responsible for multiple areas which could include audit, cash application, policies, delegations of authority, credit, reporting and liaison with other operational functions (i.e., BPO, Customer Service, Customer Master Data, etc.). As the Team Lead will mentor and coach other Team members.

 

Core Job Responsibilities

  • The position requires a high degree of written and verbal communication skills due to multi-functional involvement.
  • The incumbent will need to quickly become familiar with AR related items and the detailed internal business requirements for their portfolio of credit customers along with understanding the businesses supported.
  • Monitor accounts for potential risk, communicate intelligence and make appropriate decisions. Recommend changes to account credit limits and escalate challenges appropriately. With regular advice, coordination & guidance from Management, approve order releases on a timely basis and in a manner that protects AbbVie assets. Ensure that audit documentation is present in SAP for auditing compliance. Oversight of team member(s) to assure accuracy of financial data and presentation to customers is appropriate to distribute. Participation in inter-departmental teams is a necessity.

 

Position Accountability/Scope

  • Identify root causes for credit or collection challenges, prepare compelling data presentations and complex trend analysis using tools (e.g., SAP S4 Hana, QlikView, CRMZ, SRM, Excel and PowerPoint) and resolve complex payment / credit issues. Recommend and present business cases to Management for process improvements.
  • Comply with audit requests (Internal Audit, External Audit, PMO Sox controls) and provide resolution on a timely basis.
  • Support relationships and engage in effective communication with our customers and internal areas such as Sales, Customer Service, BTS and Contracts & Pricing. Resolve challenges with minimal guidance & escalations. Provide options to management where issues require escalation.

 


Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS required; Finance/Accounting/Economics recommended
  • Preferred MBA/CPA. 3+ years related experience
  • Strong credit, collections, and overall receivables background
  • Can operate independently within own scope of responsibility under general supervision
  • Can coach and mentor less experienced staff
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SAP, SRM, QlikView, Excel, and Power point
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, independent and proactive thought, and decision-making skills necessary
