Business Performance Senior Manager
The Results Delivery Office (RDO) drives transformation and builds critical capabilities that enable Amgen to respond to rapid advancements in science and technology within a rapidly changing business environment.
The Enterprise Transformation Excellence (ETX) team within the RDO is looking for a Business Performance Senior Manager to join our team of capability leaders. The candidate will work across the company to build proven transformation skills that enable high priority initiatives.
The Business Performance Senior Manager will be a critical part of enabling change management transformation capabilities across Amgen. This highly transparent role will upskill leaders and functions through coaching, training and delivery of sustainable change management competencies such as sponsorship, engagement planning, and behavior change.
The candidate will help manage the overall Transformation Capability program. This includes organizing the change leader network, tracking goals, and managing action plans. The candidate will also participate in additional ETX efforts, such as developing new capabilities, driving organizational effectiveness, and participating in process improvement efforts.
Key activities:
Partner in establishing and maintaining the transformation change management capability
Articulate the value of change management and apply to complex functions and processes
Independently coach and train teams on effective application of the capability
Manage participant learning journeys and assess performance at each level
Lead onboarding activities and training workshops
Support knowledge repository governance, content, and lifecycle
Support continuous improvement activities such as planning, measuring, reporting, and performing remediation tasks
Acquire skills and knowledge of transformation capabilities
Support process improvement activities
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 2+ years of change management/business optimization experience OR
Masters degree and 6+ years of change management/business optimization experience OR
Bachelors degree and 8+ years of change management/business optimization experience OR
Associates degree and 10+ years of change management/business optimization experience OR
High school diploma and 12+ years of change management/business optimization experience
Preferred qualifications:
In-depth understanding of change management tools and application
Ability to coach teams on effective application of change management capabilities
Experience leading change management on complex projects
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively influence upwards in the organization
Comfortable engaging with leaders and advising on resolutions to complex business problems
Involved in leading timely, effective, and value add workshops
Process improvement background and established problem-solving skillset
Experience working in fast-changing and often ambiguous environment
Pharmaceutical experience
