Job Description

The GMA Senior System Administration Analyst role will be an integral member of the global MA operations team responsible for oversight and maintenance of the GXP-compliant medical information system and related implementation and validation projects. Their global support for MA tools and systems and collaboration with end-users will directly enhance efficiency, consistency, compliance and best-in-class capabilities for medical information management.

  • Manage, maintain, and support the use of current medical information system and integrations with other Medical Affairs tools (e.g. CRM, MedComms, BI platform) on a global basis

  • Execute key tasks and provide direction for the installation, implementation and validation of new systems, tools or integrations, including liaising with IT, CSV, and CSV QA to provide support

  • Maintain a strong evolving and detailed knowledge of IRMS within Santen and acts as a point of contact and support for end users globally (e.g. Medical Information, QA, PV)

  • Work cross-functionally with GMA leadership and other groups to standardize and optimize processes related to medical information systems, validation and annual upgrade activities, and related tools

  • Proactively seek and assess new technologies, procedures, processes and partnerships that could drive improved efficiency, quality, and productivity

  • Work with GMA team members and IT to document, communicate, and train teams on best practices

Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in computer science, information systems, or the biological sciences
  • Suitable experience and knowledge in the area of medical information systems in lieu of B.S. degree may be considered
  • 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/diagnostics/device industry or related highly regulated environment with a minimum of 3-5 years working extensively with and administering complex support systems and software
  • Deep working knowledge of IRMS (Anju Software) and capabilities to support multiple end user groups from an administrator perspective
  • Experience with Medical Affairs tools such as CRM, Veeva MedComms, and Business Intelligence platforms is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to use scientific knowledge to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills, can effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues of diverse cultures and expertise, vendor partners, and end users across global initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to learn and grow in new areas of expertise
