Senior Statistical Programmer (US-Remote)LiveWhat you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will support a group of early oncology products as a part of Amgen Global Statistical Programming Department (GSP). You also will be accountable and responsible for GSP ad hoc analyses for the assigned product areas.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide hands-on R programming support to the statisticians in assigned product areas as required
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Contribute to the programming strategies such as functional standards and industry requirements for the assigned product areas globally
Contribute or support to aid planning and monitoring progress of projects and address issues accordingly
Working with other GSP teams and/or GSP Functional Service Provider (FSP) model on outputs
Lead and/or participate in departmental process improvement initiatives and cross-functional working groups
Assist in study and system audits by internal and external bodies
Develop, review, and implement Policies, SOPs and other controlled documents affecting GSP globally
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years Statistical Programming in Pharmaceutical Industry experience OR
Masters degree and 6 years Statistical Programming in Pharmaceutical Industry experience OR
Bachelors degree and 8 years Statistical Programming in Pharmaceutical Industry experience
Proficient in R, in-depth experience developing re-usable software components using RStudio and Shiny apps
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge using SAS for analysis and reporting
Thorough understanding and experience with data quality, data analysis and oncology endpoints
Ability to effectively perform complex statistical programming and related tasks with short turnaround time
Experience working effectively and flexibly in a globally dispersed team environment with statisticians and cross-cultural partners
Familiar with other programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, S-Plus)
Prior regulatory submission experience
In depth knowledge of SAS Graph, SAS STAT, SAS Macro and SQL
Ability to train others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Prior staff development leadership and project management experience
Experience working on studies of all phases
Experience following a formal software development lifecycle
8+ years of relevant statistical programming experience in a clinical development environment
