Summary

We seek a motivated, detail-oriented Scientist / Senior Scientist with strong background in molecular biology, and good understanding of molecular genetics and immunology. Experience in developing molecular diagnostic and co-diagnostic assays including gene expression and genotyping based assays. This position will support molecular CDx and biomarker discovery, preclinical target validation and IND enabling studies. The ideal candidate is an individual that enjoys a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to support project goals and objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead or co-lead molecular CDx discovery programs from pre-clinical IND-enabling studies
• Conceptualize and perform molecular assays including genotyping, GSA, whole genome/exome sequencing
• Analyze, critically interpret data and share results to project teams as required
• Keep meticulous records of experiments performed and maintain ELN entries
• Act as a resource for other scientists in the group

Education and Experience

• Requires degree in molecular biology, molecular genetics, cell biology or immunology
  • Scientist requires Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years experience or PhD with up to 2 years experience
  • Senior Scientist requires Master’s degree with 10 or more years experience or PhD with 6 or more years experience including post doc
• Prior industry experience is a plus; post-doctoral experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on lab experience in an industry drug discovery / development setting is preferred
• Strong molecular biology skills required (e.g., QPCR, cDNA library preparation and generation of RNAseq data with high throughput sequencing platforms including MiSeq, Hiseq, novaseq)
• Strong molecular assay and CDx development experience are a plus
• Proficiency in data analysis in commandline or R including SAMtools, FASTQC
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
