We are currently searching for a Program Analyst to support the Center's growing research and training grant portfolio. For this need, the CGH seeks support with Program Analyst-type qualifications, to work with CGH staff, grantees, and other NCI research programs and participate in the activities of the CGH Research and Training Branch. The Program Analyst support will include organizing collaborative workgroups and organizing activities for grantees, conducting data analyses, and producing materials and resources for the purposes of building consortium activities and disseminating information to the research community. The Program Analyst support help in the conduct program reviews of CGH-led research and training grant programs.  This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Rockville, MD.  

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct library and computer searches of scientific literature related to CGH research activities.
  • Work with staff on planning, organizing, and executing meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.
  • Work with USG staff to organize grantee meetings, coordinating workgroups and online tools to support collaboration across projects and sharing of methods and measures.
  • Track and assist with review and summarizing of progress reports and other program milestones.
  • Conduct scientific data analyses to support initiatives (i.e., secondary analysis of data from global tobacco surveys or DHS surveys to complement study findings and support workgroups).
  • Provide Technical knowledge and support in developing and evaluating the fellowship program, establishing process and procedures, and maintaining files.
  • Produces various detailed reports for use by upper management.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement the fellowship program, including the maintenance of files and documents; assess process and procedures and recommend improvements where needed.
  • Analyze, develops, and implements new recruiting processes and a variety of training programs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with related initiatives and partners, as directed.
  • Develop and implement new recruiting processes.
  • Develop informational materials for new and LMIC applications to allow USG staff to provide instruction about grants processes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the program to ensure it is meeting the organization's overall objectives.
  • Promote fellowship program to educational institutions, universities, and candidates.
  • Work with USG staff to prepare and coordinate material, data, memos, and PowerPoint presentations for council related and external meetings.
  • Conduct meetings and trains staff on various aspects of the fellowship program.
  • Research and evaluate the operation of the organization's scientific programs.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners, researchers, and applicants, as needed.
  • Compile data, create and prepare graphs, slides, and presentations.
  • Conduct scientific data analyses to support global health initiatives.
  • Develop informational materials on grants processes.
  • Conduct portfolio analysis.
  • Perform logistical planning of various scientific meetings, lectures, workshops.
  • Work with USG staff to organize grantee meetings and coordinating workgroups and online tools to support collaboration across projects and sharing of methods and measures.
  • Prepare and coordinate material, data, memos, and PowerPoint presentations for meetings.
  • Develop and prepare various scientific reports.
  • Conduct library and computer searches of scientific literature.
