POSITION SUMMARY

TheSenior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day task of procurement with the focus on continuous improvement requiring professional judgment and skill. In this role you will procure supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for the operation of ImmunityBio facilities. Process requisitions, contact vendors, analyzes bids and initiate contracts. The procurement specialist shall research and develop new supplier relationships as required. The incumbent will also be responsible for reviewing and approving new vendor forms to obtain the most success out of our vendor management process.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop resource strategies, tools, and specialized support necessary for cost-effective business solutions
  • Cost improvements including purchase price variance (PPV),indirect spend and payment terms
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with leading experts, and other manufacturing sites
  • Routinely Create Purchase Requisitions for the indirect purchase of Materials and services.
  • Managing procurement purchasing of all inputs, equipment, fuel and other commodities
  • Working with multiple business units, planning and prioritizing all procurement activities
  • Ensuring that all orders comply with supplier agreements
  • Reviewing planned orders and managing the approval process
  • In collaboration with our legal department, negotiate contracts with suppliers, amending contracts when required
  • Participate in quality activities such as material review, complaints management, and CAPA
  • Manage and support KPI performance metrics for inventory health, purchase order management, vendor performance, and PPV.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in in Supply Chain Management, or other business-related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of relevant procurement experience.
  • Preferred experience with computers and scanning equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical skills combined with practical business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix and diverse cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization, with internal and external clients.
  • Agility in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of MS applications - Outlook, Power Point, Word, OneNote, Teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) Oracle
