The Role:

Moderna is seeking a Co-op based at their Norwood, MA site. This individual is accountable for the development and implementation of 1-2 strategic projects to support continuous improvement efforts within one of Modernas Operations teams. The candidate will lead a cross-functional team of Moderna stakeholders to drive continuous improvements that deliver on our Operational objectives. At the end of the assignment, the candidate will present their work to the Site Leadership Team.

Heres What Youll Do:

  • Practice and promote safe work habits adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

  • Closely partner across the cross-functional team to design, develop and deploy 1-2 strategic projects to support continuous improvements

    • Work with process SMEs to develop batch records, SOPs, and training materials associated with assigned projects

    • Provide on-the-floor training of manufacturing staff associated with assigned projects

    • Participate in equipment start-up, commissioning, and validation activities associated with assigned projects

  • Escalate issues and constraints that have the potential to impact business objectives

  • Collaborate and communicate, effectively leading in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment

  • Bring an operational excellence mindset to foster and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the Value Stream

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and direction

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree (in progress) in Engineering or Sciences

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus

  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices is a plus

  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate with CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment you are outgoing, communicative, self-driven and proactively take the initiative to build relationships on a daily basis

  • Well organized a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work

  • Good critical thinker that can anticipate the needed next step and therefore can work independently

  • A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and rapid growth and adapt to change.
