Reporting to the Director of Clinical Data Management, the Associate Director, Clinical Data Management, Oncology will be responsible for leading the data management activities for Oncology Trials at Moderna.
Heres What Youll Do:
Lead the data management partnership with CROs for studies in the Oncology therapeutic area
Work effectively with CRO partners to develop and standardize data handling plans, data transfer specifications, metrics and data review tools
Oversee the activities of CRO DM functional counterparts to ensure adherence to scope of work and service agreements, and to ensure deliverables are met in accordance with study milestones/timelines and with quality
Responsible for leading/overseeing the design, creating and testing and implementation of data capture tools and integrations for data capture, data processing, coding and validation in accordance with the data collection requirements as defined in the clinical protocol, in alignment with industry best practice guidelines and enforcement of Moderna data standards and processes for clinical trials within the Oncology TA
Perform thorough development testing of the eCRF prior to deployment, inclusive of User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plans, Test Scripts and execute testing applicable
Implement, track and review key performance indicators on data management activity in the Oncology Therapeutic Area
Manages third party vendors including review of data transfer specifications, managing data deliverables, reconciliation and ensuring quality transfers on time and within budget
Ensures achievement of data management deliverables and milestones in coordination with cross functional team members including: Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Biostatistics & Programming, Biomarker Operations & Sample Management and Pharmacovigilance to ensure project deliverables are met, including data acquisition, quality data review and reporting in compliance with GCP, SOPs and regulatory requirements
Proactively organizes and leads cross-functional stakeholders in clinical data review
Contribute and participate in the development of best practices and clinical data standards for the Data Management function
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:
Bachelors Degree in an analytical or health-related field
8+ years of clinical data management experience in industry, with experience across indications and relational databases and experience using multiple clinical data management systems
Phase I-IV clinical development experience
Knowledgeable of oncology assessment criteria including RECIST and iRECIST
Multi-faceted background devising plans for operational challenges such as site EDC training, preparing cohorts for data review in dose escalation, vendor oversight, protocol deviation management, data cleaning, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations
Successful experience managing vendor relationships
Expert knowledge of FDA and ICH regulations and industry standards applicable to data capture and data management process for oncology
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, in addition to excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
