As a Research Associate, you will perform experiments to develop Mission Barns’ technology platform. Cell culture, bioassay execution, experimental planning, and data analysis will be part of your daily routine.

Responsibilities
- Cell culture maintenance and analysis
- Bioassay execution
- Cell culture media preparation
- Bioreactor process initiation, seeding, monitoring, harvesting, and termination
- Rigorous experimental design, documentation, and data analysis
- Cell culture material cleaning, sterilization, and organization
About You
- B.S. in Biological or Chemical Sciences/Engineering
- 2+ years of biological lab experience, preferably in an industry setting
- Proficient in aseptic technique
- Experience with animal (including human) cell culture
- Experience in either cell line development, cell culture media development, bioprocess development, or tissue engineering
- Works well both independently and collaboratively
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute
- Able to communicate technical information explicitly and concisely
- Attitudinally constructive and positive
- Passionate about and/or intellectually interested in the technology and/or Mission

Mission Barns uses cell culture techniques, novel bioprocess engineering, and tissue engineering to grow meat from animal cells for sustainability, public health, and animal welfare reasons.
