Sr. Manager, Global Brand Marketing - Flu Portfolio

The Opportunity 

The position ensures the development of the global brand positioning and execution of the global brand plan with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful achievement of brand global goals. It involves collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistency in brand positioning, prioritization of markets, and annual strategic planning.  In addition, this position will also lead and execute strategic and brand planning activities for global markets, market research, sales analytics, forecast and budget tracking.   A key function of this role is partnership with regional commercial operations to support their marketing needs, ensure consistency in brand messaging, compliance in promotional activities and gather insights to improve or create new marketing programs.

The Role 

• Brand Positioning

• Develop/validate a differentiated and market research-based brand positioning that supports strategy and priority segments

• Lead and execute prioritization of markets for geo-expansion, participate life cycle management as needed

• Interface with market intelligence and forecasting to determine and implement optimal portfolio positioning across all geographies of interest

• Support the Franchise Strategy team in the implementation of positioning, i.e. inform the development of key tools necessary to achieve optimal positioning

Cross-functional Interactions

• Responsible for integrating Pandemic Response Solutions Team strategy into Seqirus Seasonal Strategy

• Strong accountability for developing relationships with key internal functions, including Regional Operational Marketing, R&D, Legal, Finance, and Regulatory

• Provide input into global forecasting activities in alignment with overall business objectives

• Leads the team for the Commercial Development budget

• Leads organization on strategy and execution plans across all Global Conferences. Interfaces with Medical Affairs to identify publication strategy for conferences.

Strategic Brand Planning (MF59)

• Lead significant collaboration with internal and external partners particularly Medical Affairs, Health Economics, & Regulatory as well as outside agencies to translate relevant clinical data, HEOR need and regulatory requirements into commercial strategies

• Lead and execute prioritization of markets for geo-expansion, participate life cycle management as needed

• Implements and updates an annual strategy for Seqirus adjuvant technology (MF59)

• Drive appropriate market research to close knowledge gaps, inform strategic direction, anticipate customer needs and take action to meet them in advance

• Participation within Global Product Leadership Teams (GPLT)

• Participation in annual planning process (forecasting, brand planning)

• Collaborate with analytics and HEOR teams on analyses of product growth and pricing

Your skills and experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree required at minimum

• MBA or other advanced degree preferred

• At least 7 years working experience in commercial in the pharmaceutical, medical device or FMCG companies

• At least 5 years working on a brand team or within global marketing

• Vaccine marketing experience preferred

• Prior global product launch experiences an advantage

• Experience in leading a multi-functional team within an indirect reporting structure
