Position Summary

The Manager, Workday HRIS oversees and manages ImmunityBio’s Human Resources (HR) technology and Human Resource Information Systems by developing strategy, initiating and leading the development, implementation, maintenance, process improvement, and administration associated with HR technology. Serves as the primary liaison between HR technology vendors, Information Technology (IT) and HR business areas.

Essential Functions

  • Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance management and staff productivity.
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
  • Develops and manages the department budget; ensures compliance and addresses variances and other budget concerns.
  • Oversees all HR technologies; identifies and evaluates process improvements to meet business requirements.
  • Oversees the implementation of project management, system design and technical requirements, testing configuration, implementation of HR technology.
  • Collaborates and serves as the primary liaison between system vendors, IT, and business areas.
  • Manages the maintenance of Workday security including definitions, setup and testing.
  • Oversees processes to ensure HR technology data integrity and Workday security in collaboration with IT. Ensure appropriate and effective audit measures are in place.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains vendor relationships.
  • Serves in a consulting capacity on HR initiatives with technology component, and provides insights on impacts of changes on system performance and other system workflows.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Human Resources Team and corporate functions such as Finance and legal to develop best practice in cross functional collaboration and streamlined processes.
  • Stay informed of new functionality available in Workday and drive the deployment of new feature releases
  • Ensure desktop procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to by the team.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area required; Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area preferred
  • 7+ years progressive experience in HRIS required
  • 5+ years’ experience with Workday including Core HCM required
  • 3-4 years of experience building HRIS Integrations required
  • 3+ years management experience preferred.
  • Experience developing HRIS custom reports and complex calculated fields
  • Experience in Workday Extend based application implementation preferred
  • Workday Pro certifications preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding how business and system processes impact each other
  • Presentation skills necessary to deliver informational sessions and business cases to groups and/or individuals.
  • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities related to large number of projects and initiatives, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
  • Ability to develop and inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to HR technologies.
  • Ability to influence vendors and cross-Nant entity partners, translating technical or strategic ideas into information the audience can understand.
