Senior Manager/Associate Director, US Medical Affairs HIV Treatment Strategy

We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Affairs Sr. Manager/Associate Director who is passionate about patient-centric HIV care, treatment, prevention, and Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The candidate must be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in prior roles. They will play a critical and exciting role in helping the US Medical Affairs organization support current HIV Treatment therapies and launch future HIV pipeline products. The Sr. Manager/Associate Director will report to the US HIV Treatment Strategy Lead and will work directly with the US and Global teams.

Essential Duties and Job Functions
  • As a content manager and product expert, serves as a key contributor and knowledge expert for HIV treatment and prevention
  • Independently manage projects related to the analysis of the novel, emerging data and determine relevant information to incorporate into medical content training
  • Works with the Global MA HIV treatment and prevention team to review, update, and provide insight to Medical Affairs slide decks and local and global HIV Treatment response documents
  • Creates US-focused medical training documents as needed to support field Medical Scientists
  • Works collaboratively with Medical Scientists, Medical Information, Clinical Research, Clinical Pharmacology, and Commercial to support responses to medical inquiries and slide development for conferences
  • Provides medical and scientific input on US Promotional Review Committee as needed
  • Attends medical conferences to assess/gather relevant information and support activities related to conference deck development and training
  • Collaborates with Senior Director to develop and execute the US Plan of Action and ensure alignment of team activities and cross-functional projects
  • Capture insights systematically, both internal and external, and be able to translate these insights into actionable activities
  • Supports the US and Global HIV Medical Affairs Advisory Programs, as needed


Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
  • MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD, or other advanced health care degree
  • 3-5 years of industry experience preferred
  • Relevant clinical experience in HIV is required
  • Experience in provision of, medical information, slide development, medical writing, and project and conference management required
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual communication, and interpersonal skills are required, with experience in vendor contracting and preparing budgets, misc. Excel spreadsheets, and delivering PowerPoint presentations
  • Proven strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experienced with patient-centric care desired
  • Committed to continuing education to maintain a knowledge base
  • Ability to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settings
  • Ability to work collaboratively and experience working on cross-functional teams
  • The ability to travel as required which may include occasional weekend travel is required
  • Ability to flex and adapt as necessary in response to ongoing growth and change within the organization
