USVA Transformation, Data & Insights Integration Senior Manager

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. The USVA Transformation, Data & Insights Integration Sr. Manager, will report to the USVA Transformation Director. In this vital role you will be leading innovation, integration, automaton, and democratization efforts around data and insights across a broad range of technology and opportunities including business process optimization, data engineering, and analytics between Amgen's USVA ecosystems, enabling Amgen to compete intensely and win as the dynamic US healthcare ecosystem continues to evolve.

In addition, this individual will collaborate with the data systems initiative leads within USV&A, and other cross functional partners, serving as the liaison between DTI, and vendor partners. This individual will support data and insights system implementation including architecting a coordinated blueprint of data/insights, defining new processes and tools.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a peer-network through direct project engagement with various collaborators across US Value & Access, DTI, cDNA, and vendor partners
  • Champions and influences organizational change and education through daily behavior
  • Develop and rollout initiatives progress reports including dashboards and timelines, customized by audience
  • Data engineering and stitching cross-functional data sources with a strong business acumen
  • Lead internal and external partners in rationalizing and supporting the USV&A capability evolution, partnering with business owners on initiatives across the organization
  • Seeks to democratize analytical tools and data sets to empower business partners
  • Oversee technology budget and forecasting, purchase order and invoice management

 

Data & Insights:

  • Broad understanding of data sets, including but not limited to claims, contracts and pricing, market access, and patient support programs, etc.
  • Builds and executes reports and analytical insights to measure performance of USV&A capabilities
  • Experience with databases (i.e., Redshift), transformation tools (i.e., Alteryx, Databricks, Python, APIs)
  • Experience with developing semantic business views, remediating data quality and integrations
  • Experience with Tableau or other reporting and analytical tools
  • Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via automation tools and data orchestration expertise
  • Handle ad-hoc analyses, such as pricing specific data queries, generating data-driven business insights, visualizations, and recommendations
  • Routinely presents USV&A capability reports and analytical insights to senior leadership and other high-level, cross functional committees or teams

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorates degree and 2 years of experience in either patient support programs and/or information systems, marketing, analytics, or sales operations

OR

Masters degree and 4 years of experience in either patient support programs and/or information systems, marketing, analytics, or sales operations

OR

Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in either patient support programs and/or information systems, marketing, analytics, or sales operations

OR

Associates degree and 10 years of experience in either patient support programs and/or information systems, marketing, analytics, or sales operations

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in either patient support programs and/or information systems, marketing, analytics, or sales operations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity; ability to see the big picture; ability to collect, digest and assemble information to enable relevant business analyses
  • Ability to collaborate, lead and influence cross functional teams with a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Demonstrate autonomy with the ability to navigate complex projects and challenges with minimal oversight
  • Experience solving complex business problems and managing data analytical projects
  • Demonstrated track record of growing responsibility.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities. Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills with ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage implementation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to work across and up through the organization, including escalation and mitigation of issues, risks, and business impacts
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong project management and business analyst skills and experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work, mentor & develop people and gain cross-functional alignment from people who dont report to you
  • Understanding and specific curiosity about advanced analytics and its application for making strategic business decisions
