Scrum Master/Project Manager for Research Data and Analytics

In this vital role, you will be part of a team which plays a meaningful role in accelerating early pipeline work by incorporating novel data management workflows into easy-to-use software tools accessible by all researchers. You will work with expert scientists, vendors and teams of business systems analysts and software developers to establish the roadmap of technology solutions and how they should be integrated into scientists workflow with the best user experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Research Informatics team seeks an experienced Scrum Master to execute on business outcomes for the Research enterprise data lake and Research reporting platforms:
Function as the servant leader and coach for the Research Data and Analytics Agile Product Team. Enable the overall adoption of SAFe agile by coaching customers and other non-agile teams on effective interactions with agile teams and participating in the Agile Community of Practice. Facilitate team events, including the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective ensuring that they are productive and kept within the timebox. Facilitate the removal of impediments to improve the likelihood of achieving the objectives of the Iteration. Support the Product Owner in their efforts to lead the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope. Coordinate inter-team collaboration and help the team operate well on the Release train. Guide the team in establishing normalized estimates, schedule and facilitate product release planning activities including approvals and communications. Lead budget and support Product Owner and Agile Coach with the Product Team funding process.WinWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic qualifications- Doctorate degree (or)
- Masters degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience (or)
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience (or)
- Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience (or)
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.
- Experience with SAFe concepts including Lean-Agile Mentality, SAFe Core Values, SAFe Principles, Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP) and Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban.
- Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Experience conducting backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and scrum events, and managing burndown metrics & velocity.
- Experience working with end-users to write and prioritize requirements represented as user-stories.
- Good project management, meeting facilitation, negotiation, planning and organizational change leadership skills.
- Ability to lead activities across multiple initiatives or teams simultaneously.
- Great teammate who can collaborate and provide leadership through influence to achieve the required results.
- Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledgeable in the concepts of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to set the context and present on complex subjects in clear and concise manner.
- High learning agility, innovation, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
