Job Details
This position reports to the Associate Finance Director, Global Marketing – supporting directly a Therapeutic Area (TA) within Global Marketing and Commercial Operations. The Finance Lead will interact with cross functional stakeholders to consolidate and analyze Plan, Update and LRP, will provide accurate and timely financial analysis and planning deliverables and will support the business to interpret the financials. Additionally, this position will partner with key members of the team to implement process enhancements, develop new tools to manage forecasts and assess performance and support the Finance team on ad-hoc deliverables as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive planning and analysis for the therapeutic area, lead monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles, as well as the Long Range Planning and Latest Best Estimate
- Partner with the Therapeutic Area Commercial Team and Global Market Access/Pricing teams to provide day to day support and analysis, volume forecasts, and pre-launch and on-market analysis
- Lead the development and enhancement of the Commercial Model (SME) for on market assets
- Prepare templates and presentations for annual LRP and Plan processes, contribute to build the story
- Operate independently to prepare relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules for direct areas supported
- Work closely with the geographical Areas and the business to understand and interpret the market dynamics
- Track asset and TA Performance (e.g., Market Share, ASP, Competitors); provide management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance and risk
- Prepare Ad Hoc reporting for Investor Relations and for Finance Management
- Leads ad hoc analysis, projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
- Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Self-starter with ability to operate independently drives processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus
