At the assay-bioinformatics team, we support computational aspects of assay development for cancer detection. We build innovative products to detect cancer signals at an early stage to save more lives. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of passionate scientists, software engineers, and machine learning engineers to develop novel diagnostics tools for cancer detection.
You will:
  • Be involved in the design of NGS experiments, analysis of the data and interpretation of the results. 
  • Lead computational support for assay development and validation, provide analytical input for bioinformatics pipeline development, and will run in-silico simulation studies to characterize classification performance.
  • Act as a core member of the R&D team being responsible for the computational aspects of assay development.
  • Support a team of assay scientists to characterize and evaluate assay performance.
  • Run in-silico experiments to simulate assay modifications and characterize assay attributes.
  • Perform sophisticated analysis of large genomic data sets.
  • Present project updates, data analysis, and experimental conclusions at technical meetings.


Your background should include:
  • Master or Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, biological sciences, cancer biology, genetics, genomics, computer science, physics, engineering, or equivalent preparation and experience.
  • Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one programming language (R, Python, Go)
  • Proficiency in Linux environment, version control tools, and reproducible research practices.
  • Proven track record to uncover new biological insights from large genomics datasets.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask as needed in a sophisticated environment.
  • Strong teammate with the ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams.
